explore the features and benefits of typical PDAs, showing how they can
help you become more organized and productive. In addition, it will
discuss the major platforms (Palm, Pocket PC, and Linux) and provide
guidelines for determining which model to buy.
- Nothing Up My Sleeve: It's All on My Palm!
Part I is introductory: learn how to use your Palm-powered
handheld more effectively. This sessionwill cover the basics,
including Graffiti handwriting recognition, using the built-in
functions (Address Book, Date Book, To Do List, Memo Pad), tell you how
to select which model to buy, and discuss the "care and feeding" of
your handheld.
Part II covers advanced
tips and techniques, and covers locating, downloading, and installing
add-on software for e-books, spreadsheets, databases, travel, and
more.

will demystify the features of typical digital cameras and show how
they can help you meet your goal of taking good pictures.
We'll discuss how you can use your computer as a "digital darkroom",
and will provide guidance for making an informed purchase.

advent of digital music formats, Internet downloads, and iPods. But
there's no need to be puzzled. Learn what MP3 files are, why they are
the most commonly used music file format on the Internet today, and how
to work with them. Learn how to rip music from CDs, download music from
the Internet, burn CDs, and more. We'll discuss how to convert existing
music on vinyl to CD.
